I love that Charlotte is such a sex-positive, chill mom -- really shows how she has grown from her SATC days.
The fashion in this episode was so good! The core 3 at the Gramercy apartment was styling perfection. I also really liked the styling in the Carrie-Kathy coffee scene -- they're in opposite colors on the color wheel (green vs pink) but Kathy's kimono had some green in it, maybe to subtly show she is warming up to Carrie.
I also really liked the filming locations in this episode -- La Mercerie for the Kathy coffee meetup (on a cute Soho street near the old Wing location, RIP), Bond Vet Care in Hell's Kitchen, that Chipotle in Midtown East (I think). Idk, I'm glad it's not all sets. One of my favorite things is watching the original series and spotting places I know and seeing how they've changed.
Charlotte really has grown a lot -- I think it's cool she mentions her relationship/things with her own mother and how she learned from those experiences to do better with her children.
your point about the carrie/kathy coffee scene is also amazing--love a color wheel reference!
and yes, finally not all of the locations were sets or random streets. a lot of the "new york feeling" has been missing from this show imo, so hopefully they can continue to infuse the show with real new york.
Miranda and Charlotte saved this otherwise boring episode for me. And YESSSS to the fashion at Grammercy. I was so happy to see the flower brooch return! Also yes to the green bomber and meet the xwife outfit...hard pass on Carrie being so watered down-- WTF with the wishy washy stuff about Big?!
Charlotte basically saves every episode -- she has mostly been comic relief but it's sorely needed! I LOVED the fashion in this one but yes otherwise super super boring
